Out of the Blue

Every so often, I would just get frustrated with not having to hand what should have been easy to locate and choose to cobble something together. The results were rarely satisfactory.

The Swingin' Pig was a very well-known bootleg label out of Italy. According to this German fan site, they released 233 CDs and 147 records. This, a very-near-the-end Avalon show, was their only Roxy Music title. I could be mistaken, but from what I read at some of the fan sites, this was the only Roxy bootleg to have been released by the label on both vinyl and CD. Many fans recreated old vinyl boots for compact disc, but this is the only one to get an official release on both formats. Well, maybe "official" isn't the right word there.

Anyway, if anybody ever owned this blasted CD, they never felt like answering the calls of collectors and putting the booklet on a flatbed and making a proper scan of it for CD-R traders to make a proper copy. So what you see here is an inelegant solution, matching a very decent condition front cover with a much less decent inside. Blowing the inside up to the same resolution would have resulted in distortion and artifacts, so just leaving it alone was the better option.

So... does anybody own this blasted CD and do they feel like putting the booklet on a flatbed and shooting the whole thing at 600 dpi...?
