Live in Concert

Well, this is strange. Mr. Monopoly has no idea why it was necessary for him to make a back cover for this CD.

The Frejus show is... a little controversial among one or two fans. Okay, so this is the Avalon tour, and Roxy is in France, touring with King Crimson as their opening act. Both acts were recorded that night, and Roxy's performance, which was kind of weak if you ask me, was released on home videotape and laserdisc (if you remember those) under the name The High Road. This was also broadcast, in part, on The King Biscuit Flower Hour and bootlegged. More on that another time.

In 1983, a separate mini-LP called The High Road was released. It contained four songs broadcast by Radio Clyde from a far stronger performance in Glasgow. More on that another time.

In 1990, EG Records released, without Bry's approval, a live Roxy album called Heart Still Beating. It purported to be the soundtrack of the High Road film, but it actually mixed in some of the Glasgow songs. Not an accurate or complete performance.

In 2002, Reklaw Records put out the actual, complete Frejus recording on CD for the first time. But I guess they only did a front cover and not a back, and so Mr. Monopoly was asked to make a back cover by another fan...? Not really sure, actually.
