Bonn 2002

Here is an example of a Mr. Monopoly commission for a trade. There were several occasions during the course of the last ten years, even after Mr. Monopoly moved to mp3s and quit trading CD-Rs, when fans would offer him a copy of a concert in exchange for making some artwork to specifications.

This particular order asked for no images of either Bry or girls, just the city of Bonn, and a silly sleeve note disclaimer. As such, a very nice skyline of the city was found and swiped. One "elegant" font was used for the front cover and the spine, but a much more basic one for the song titles and credits. Mr. Monopoly came to believe that while a silly or garish font might work well for the name of a record, the information should be kept simple and straightforward. He elected to simply list the names of Bry's band in alphabetical order (as Bry did on Boys & Girls and on Bete Noire), figuring that anybody owning a bootleg audience recording of Bry on this tour already knows what instrument Chris Spedding plays.

This artwork has never been made public before now.
