Above the Clouds

A Mr. Monopoly design for free trading

From Roxy Art

From Roxy Art

Mr. Monopoly's CD-Rs were designed to feature girls on the Roxy covers and Bry on the solo covers, but there were some exceptions to the rule. The main images here were cribbed from a fashion layout by Thierry Mugler and screamed ROXY but also screamed NEW YORK CITY in the 1990s.

"Above the Clouds" is actually a song by Paul Weller, but it struck Mr. Monopoly that it was a good phrase that fit the cover image. The requisite inner photo of Bry is done with a basic and sloppy PhotoShop filter in a misguided sense to match the energy of the image on the back cover. The font is no longer known but is a consistently-used font throughout the piece.

It is unknown or forgotten whether this recording and the accompanying artwork was ever treed, traded or weeded. It is not known to have been sold anywhere. Mr. Monopoly designs should never be sold, although they sometimes are.
